Geely EX5 Prices Hiked in Nepal Amid Rising Import Costs

LRR Motors, the authorized distributor of Geely electric vehicles in Nepal, has officially announced a price revision for its popular all-electric mid-size SUV, the Geely EX5

This updated pricing structure reflects an increase across both available variants and takes effect immediately at all authorized showrooms nationwide.

Under the new rates, the Geely EX5 Pro is now priced at NPR 59.99 lakh, marking a rise from its previous price of NPR 58 lakh, while the premium Geely EX5 Max has been adjusted to NPR 69.99 lakh from the earlier NPR 68 lakh.

According to a formal statement released by LRR Motors, the decision to increase prices was driven by external economic pressures rather than internal policy shifts.

The company explained that the adjustment was necessitated by the continuous rise in the US dollar exchange rate, which has significantly inflated the costs associated with importing vehicles into the country.

Despite these rising overheads, the distributor has opted for a modest adjustment to align with current currency trends while maintaining the vehicle's competitive position in the growing electric SUV segment.

In a strategic move to support prospective buyers and offset the impact of the price hike, LRR Motors confirmed that its ongoing New Year Sales Scheme will remain fully active and unchanged.

Customers who purchase a Geely EX5 during this period will still be eligible for a comprehensive package of incentives, including a vacation trip to Thailand and various high-value gifts such as smart coffee machines and adaptable chargers.

Furthermore, the company continues to provide substantial cash discounts and flexible financing facilities, ensuring that the transition to premium electric mobility remains an attractive investment for Nepali consumers despite the broader market volatility.
